PHASE ONE
Onboarding
Month One · Virtual
Before the Launch, Educentric conducts a Current State Analysis to develop a clear picture of the school's performance, challenges, existing improvement efforts, and opportunities. We also work with the principal to identify the school's Breakthrough Performance Team—the small group of leaders who will help drive the work throughout the year.
PHASE TWO
LAUNCH
Month Two · In Person
During an intensive two-day Launch, the principal and Breakthrough Performance Team work with Educentric to build the school's two-page Flight Plan. The team establishes the school's Value Proposition, defines one measurable three-year North Star Metric, identifies two Priority Objectives, and determines the strategies, tactics, and predictive Key Performance Indicators that will drive the work.

NAVIGATION
Months 2–11 · Virtual
Execution is where most improvement plans succeed or fail. During up to 25 Navigator sessions, the principal and Breakthrough Performance Team work with an experienced former principal who has successfully improved low-performing schools.
Teams review predictive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), determine whether implementation is on pace, identify barriers, hold owners accountable for agreed-upon actions, and decide what needs to continue, change, or stop. When the evidence shows a strategy or tactic is not producing the expected result, the team adjusts early enough to affect the outcome.
KNOW BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE
Schools should not have to wait for end-of-year results to discover that an improvement strategy did not work. Educentric helps teams identify a small number of predictive KPIs and review them regularly. These measures provide an early indication of whether the school is on pace to achieve its North Star Metric—and give leaders time to intervene when it is not.
PHASE FOUR
LANDING
Month 12 · Virtual
At the end of the engagement, Educentric and the school team evaluate progress toward the North Star Metric, examine the effectiveness of the strategies and tactics used during the year, identify lessons learned, and determine the priorities and adjustments needed for the next phase of the school’s breakthrough work.
